Fundraising at work

A guide to help you

 Choose your charity …

… Queen Elizabeth Hospital Charity – and choose where you would like your money to go. All you need to do is speak to a member of our team who will be more than happy to help you donate the money to where you want. Whether you want to raise money for research, the Young Persons’ Unit or a specific ward – our team will advise you on what will be best.

Get the boss on board …

REMEMBER: before holding an event it is always best to ask your boss if it is okay to go ahead with your plans! Be FLEXIBLE – your plans may not always be suitable for your work place. You never know – your boss may even add to the funds!

Get people on board …

… People always love a good fundraiser and an enjoyable break within their working day! Make sure you promote the fundraiser EVERYWHERE – through posters, emails and texts – so that you can spread the word of your event. Try to get everyone talking about it! The more people who know about your event, the more money you’ll raise … BUT don’t forget that others may want to be involved too and this will be a great opportunity to work as a team and raise even more money!

Don’t forget the prizes …

… who doesn’t love a good, friendly competition where prizes can be won? So a bit of rivalry, say, between offices or departments – with the promise of sparkling prize (or fondue set) – gets everybody going.

“The hospital charity provides those added extras that make a huge difference to the lives of military patients and their families. Thank you for your support”
