Skydiving success
October 8, 2012
An intrepid team of employees from Barclays, together with charity supporter Lucy Whitehouse, dropped 13,000 feet and raised several thousand pounds for QEHB Charity.
As the jumpers prepared themselves for take-off, the fog descended which prompted an anxious wait for news about whether the much-anticipated skydive could take place.
The team were relieved when a sudden shaft of light illuminated the airfield and they were called to board the plane. The skies cleared and the jump took place against the backdrop of a beautiful autumnal day.
QEHB Charity would like to thank the whole team for taking part and for raising vital funds for the charity.
Further skydive dates have been organised so if you would like the opportunity to skydive whilst raising funds for the hospital charity, please contact charities@uhb.nhs.uk.
“The hospital charity provides those added extras that make a huge difference to the lives of military patients and their families. Thank you for your support”
